Andy WARHOL

Andy WARHOL

Andy Warhol.  By Rainer Crone.  332 pp.  Illustrated throughout, some in colour.  4to., 285 x 225 mm, bound in publisher’s orange cloth in original illustrated dust-jacket.  New York & Washington: Praeger, 1970.

First Edition.  The first catalogue raisonne on Andy Warhol, superseded in the current century with multi-volume publication by Phaidon.  Still, this book remains desirable on account of brilliant book design and the scholarship of Rainer Crone.  A very good copy with the usual toning to the text block and some wear to the dust-jacket including a two inch tear to the rear flap, still better than most.
