First Edition.  A celebrated piece of 1920's Soviet bookmaking with a cover and overall design by Lissitzky and colourful index system designed by Solomon Telingater. The catalogue is for The Union Printing and Graphic Arts Exhibition that opened in Moscow on September 15th, 1927. Covering all aspects of bookmaking including typography, book design, engineering and new colour printing processes, and showcasing the work of 58 artist / designers.

Rare, with 6 copies in US; Wolfsonian, Johns Hopkins, Princeton, Getty, North Western, and the Art Institute of Chicago.  Covers a bit worn at the edges, still a very good copy with the tabs still fresh and bright.
