A representative group of avant-garde cover designs by Ladislav Sutnar for Czech language editions of George Bernard Shaw’s work.  Sutnar (1897-1976) was the art director at Družstevni Práce, a co-operative publishing house responsible for hundreds of important books being translated into Czech.    Near fine examples with minimal wear and toning.
