An unusually well preserved copy of this avant-garde cultural periodical featuring a cover designed by Marcel Duchamp. The image combines the journals masthead along with Duchamp’s famous readymade Comb. According to Sylvia Beach, James Joyce told her jokingly that “the comb with thick teeth shown on this cover was the one used to comb out “Work in Progress,” (Schwarz). A little wear to the yapped edges, but much less than usual, overall a fine copy of this fragile publication.
